Resources for vision impaired

Come and visit our resource room

Our Resource Room is stocked with all kinds of equipment designed to make the daily life of vision impaired people as easy as possible.

From talking clocks and watches to talking bathroom scales! Liquid level indicators to talking microwaves, large print diaries to large print playing cards. In fact if we don’t have it we will endeavour to find it for you.

We have a large stock of audio books which we lend out at no charge.

We regularly host Open Days where specialist companies come to display and demonstrate new technology for you (and us!).

  • Doris (81) - Society member for 8 years

When I lost my husband I decided I had to become more involved with the Society and started attending different clubs and classes. It got me through the darkest of days, especially the regular visits by one of the charity’s visiting service volunteers.
