What´s new?

We’re 100!

WSB recently celebrated their 100th anniversary with a Founder’s Day. The event was held at the Charmandean Centre on Tuesday 31st August. It was a beautiful day and well over 150 members, volunteers and trustees (old and new) turned out to help us celebrate.

We were joined by the Mayor of Worthing Councillor Ann Sayers and the Youth Mayor Matthew Badcock, as well as two of our own centenarians and our longest standing member who’s been on our register since 1948.

  • Member stories

  • Doris (81) - Society member for 8 years

When I lost my husband I decided I had to become more involved with the Society and started attending different clubs and classes. It got me through the darkest of days, especially the regular visits by one of the charity’s visiting service volunteers.
